Pipelines are the blood vessels of industry. They are widely used in petrochemical industry, nuclear industry, energy industry etc. How to make sure them safe is the hot and important issue. Rupture pipelines which are caused by erosion-corrosion, frequently happens. This paper focuses on erosion-corrosion, and tries to get the erosion rate and distributions of the typical pipe fittings and pipelines. The results are useful and can guide the inspectors where the pipelines are dangerous and save their precious time. The major job of this paper lists below:1、Introduced Fluent discrete phases model to simulate the flow conveying in the pipe fittings precisely. And with the help of Erosion/Accretion physical model, the relationship between erosion-corrosion rate and the flow rate are built.2、Using the method above, CFD simulation of the elbow of nature gas was carried out. Comparing to the published data, the results are acceptable, which prove that the numerical method is effective and has a good precision.3、The author applies the method above to the abundant pipe fittings like elbows, diameter shrink tubes, three-way pipe and so on. After numerous calculations, the relationship between the erosion-corrosion rate and the geometry parameter, inlet velocity, particle flow rate, the position are illustrated. At last some effective advises are given to alleviate the erosion-corrosion of the pipe fittings.
