| In1960s and1970s, the growing ecological crisis makes a serious threat to thesustainable environment for human being. Facing with such a stern fact, the westerncountries spearheaded the Green Movement in order to safeguard the living environmentof mankind. They hope to make green forever through establishing green organizations,setting up green parties, researching green theories and so on. The Green Movement wasin full swing which marks the beginning of the ecological revolution."Ecology" becamea buzzword popular in Europe and the United States for a time, and spawned many "eco "named branch disciplines in the biological sciences, geography, sociology, economics,philosophy and other fields. A number of well-known scholars who study of Marx’secological thinking Emerged during this period. The main representatives are CanadaBen Agger and William Leiss, France Andre Gorz, British David Pepper, United StatesJames O’Connor and John Bellamy Foster, Germany Reiner Grundman, etc. Thesescholars have developed the Marxist theory which contains ecological thoughts bycriticism, construction and re construction, and make Marxist theory in the ecologicalfield put light again.Since China adopted the reform and opening up in1979, the economic got greatdevelopment. To the21st century, China is also facing the same problem with thedeveloped capitalist countries of environmental pollution caused by the industrialization.As a socialist country, China certainly does not want to re-take the same path which thecapitalist have traveled to "pollution for development". While facing the severe situation,China must quickly join the team which researched the ecological crisis, stand on theposition of the Marxist and provide a useful theoretical guidance for ecologicalcivilization through combining the China’s environmental problems on the foreignecological Marxist theory.Based on this purpose, the basic framework and main contentare as follows:The article put forward an introduction about the purpose and significance of theresearch, and the research present situation on Ecological Marxism, then proposed theideas, research methods and innovative points. Chapter I is primarily an overview description of the eco-Marxism. It analysis the eco-Marxist from theory and background,describes the eco-Marxist development history in time axis. Chapter II focuses onanalyzing and abstracting the important viewpoints which the eco-Marxist has roughlyexperienced. Points out the inherent consistency between these viewpoints, end-result ofits development is inevitable. Chapter III analyses and evaluates the theory on chapter II,points out the reasonable and deficiencies of ecological Marxist, and get inspiration fromthis foundation to the construction of China. |
