In recent years, a large area of the urban wetland was damaged, and faced the threat of ecological degradation, due to increased urbanization. In order to protect and use urban wetland effectively, establishment of the wetland park is one of the important ways to protect the wetland. With the rapid development of urban wetland park, monitoring and evaluating its ecosystem health situation, can provide a reliable basis for the future to carry out work on the restoration and protection of wetland park.Based on the theory of ecosystem health, pressure-state-response (PSR) model as a research method and according to the characteristics of the wetland ecosystem, the dissertation regard the Changzhi Wetland Park as the research object, established a total of14indicators of index system of ecosystem health assessment. The index system contained three sub-systems, which were the pressure system, the state system and the response system. Based on the measured data and indirect data, we made an evaluation of Changzhi wetland ecosystem conditions, and cleared the limiting factors of their health status. The results showed as follow:(1) By analyzing15samples with a total of150samples of surface soil characteristic parameters, the results showed that the average of soil organic matter of Changzhi Wetland Park was6.42%; the average of soil salt content was0.40%; the average of soil pH value was7.83. By making a survey of plant species and coverage in each quadrat, the results showed that the average of height plant reeds was0.64m and its coverage rate was13.33%.(2) The comprehensive evaluation index of the ecological health of Changzhi Wetland Park was0.5402, and it belonged to a more healthy level; the health index of pressure system was0.7000, and it belonged to a healthy level; the health index of state system was0.3885, and it belonged to a general morbid levels; the health index of healthy response system was0.7442, and it belonged to a healthy level.
