Water is the natural resource that be consumed most. The sustainable utilization of water resources is the most important problem in the sustainable development and utilization of all the natural resources. With the constantly deteriorating ecological environment, water pollution becomes increasingly serious. Among the varions types of pollutants, organic compounds especially semi-volatilization organic compounds(SVOCs) occupy a large portion. And then it will seriously threaten drinking water safety. By now, new standards for drinking water quality have given more attentions to organic Pollutants in water, and the analyzing of organics in water has becoming the hot study topic. But many analyzing methods for SVOCs could not be applied to water quality analysis, so, the study of SVOCs analys is of very importance. As a sample Preparation, Solid Phase extraction(SPE) is convenient and swift. It is suit for SVOCs analysis in water. GC-MS is one of the most efficient methods for qualitative and quantitative analysis of VOCs and SVOCs, and has been widely applied for analysis of SVOCs in water. This paper mainly studies the detection method of main pollutants——SVOCs in water and drinking water, and establishes analytical procedure for SVOCs in water with GC-MS method combined SPE.The method was used in detecting the water from6Yongjiang River water sources and dringing water from6waterworks.The main results were as follows:1. We extracted SVOCs from water by using solid-phase extraction, established a preparation method which used Waters Porapak RDX Sep-Pak as extraction, adjusted water pH=2, ethyl acetate and dichloromethane as elute.2. In the GC-MS research,we Compared three capillary chromatographic columns, established a GC-MS detection method for SVOCs in water. The results showed that DB-1701(30m×0.25mm×0.25μm)capillary chromatographic column has good seperation efficiency.60SVOCs in water samples were effectively enriched and separated by SPE/GC method. A good linear relationship(R=0.990) was obtained between the detect respond values and concentration of SVOCs in the range of0.05~0.40mg.L-1(Deltamethrin concentration in the range of0.50~4.00mg.L-1),and the detection limits(3S/N were in the range of0.13~15.87μg.L-1. Recovery and precision tests were performed by standard addition method using a blank water sample, and gave a recovery of70%~112%with RSD (n=6) of2.67%~17.17%for each semi-volatilization organic compound.3. The water from6Yongjiang River water sources and dringing water from6waterworks was detected using the established method. All the SVOCs in the water are below the minimum detectable concentration.
