With the deepening comprehensive utilization of C4raw materials, usingoligomerization process for further refining the function of C4derivatives, which isbased on the perfect C4separation technology, has become the inevitable course forthe development of enterprises by technology innovation. For the industrialization ofbutene oligomerization and obtaining the needed industrial product, the utilization ofcatalysts shows its importance on the research of butene oligomerization. The buteneoligomerization will become the most effective device of producing clean gasolenefor our petrochemical enterprise. There are selective and non-selective process onbutene oligomerization catalytic reaction, and their corresponding catalysts arerespectively selective and non-selective.The study was taken to evaluate the catalytic performance of selective andnon-selective catalysts on butene oligomerization reaction, using differentcomposition of butene as raw material. The non-selective catalysts UOP, T-99, C8-2and selective catalysts were mainly studied. The conversion rate of each olefin, thecomposition of liquid products, the selectivity of liquid products and the productionrate of target product DIB were measured under different composition buteneoligomerization with different catalysts. Meanwhile, the research on thermodynamicsand kinetics of butene oligomerization selective catalytic reaction was conducted totest if there would be temperature runaway at specified requirements.The experiment was carried out in a fixed bed catalytic reactor, with550mm inheight,18mm in diameter and100ml in volume. The device was refit for differentdemands of the study on the test of catalytic performance of non-selective catalyst andselective catalyst, in order to meet the need of different butene oligomerizationtechnological process.In order to study the catalytic performance of C8-2, the butene oligomerizationcatalytic reaction were conducted with UOP and T-99catalysts as comparison. Thebutene oligomerization using C8-2were carried out with different composition of rawmaterials. The study on the catalytic performance of selective catalysts were taken underfive different temperature, three different space velocity and three kinds ofcomposition of butene.This work supplies reference for study of butene oligomerization.Simultaneously, the evaluation of butene oligomerization catalysts provides atheoretical basis for industrialization of butene oligomerization.
