Many researchers have been studied on immobilized microorganism method and have made some progress in influencing factors, immobilization carrier screening and process optimization. But rarely studies on the effect of the immobilized carrier on organic pollutants’bioavailability during soil remediation process has been reportrd, as well as contribution made by the process of remediation. Further studies must be carried on for understanding the affecting mechanism of biodegradable immobilized agents on soil PAHs’bioavailability. And the work on immobilized microorganism method will help to refine the understanding the immobilized microbial remediation used in contaminated soil. Also the further study can provide theoretical support for in-situ remediation of contaminated soil and contaminants ecological risk assessment.Laboratory simulative experiments were carried to study the regular pattern of the decomposition process of corncob, the immobilized carrier. Changes in the composition of the corncob were determinate, as well as the humic acid. And in conclusion:1. During the period of decomposing, the content of benzyl-alcohol soluble substances declined continuously and became stable eventually. The hemicellulose and cellulose content fluctuated and reduced eventually. The water soluble substance increased. As the other compositions declined, the content of lignin increased relatively. This is the result of the complex reaction among organic and inorganic matters. The fluctuate changes in the period of63d indicated the high activity of microorganisms.2. The FTIR-ATR spectra showed the changes in components of corncob during decomposition. The increase in the intensity of the bands at1026cm’1indicated the carbohydrate increased. The gradually strength in the intensity of the bands at2935~2880cm-1indicated the decomposition of carbohydrates and aliphatic compounds. This reflected the reduced in aliphatic property and enhance in aromatic quality.3. Pyr has a slightly effect on the decomposition process. Due to the influence of Pyr on microorganisms, the content of benzyl-alcohol soluble substances is different.4. The removal of Pyr by different treatments is varied significantly (P<0.05). Two reasons can be responsible to this phenomenon. One, some particles of organic matters can absorb Pyr, and the other one, microorganisms degraded the Pyr by the way of using them as carbon source. DOM contributed a lot in absorbance of Pyr. The removal of Pyr goes with the content of HA significantly (R2=0.950).
