Tourmaline is a cyclic silicate crystals, which the main of the characteristics is both the piezoelectric and the pyroelectric effect.and it’s widely used in area of water treatment, air purification, photocatalytic degradation, health care and so on.Acrylate is one of the polymer materials that are widely performance having good hardness, strong permeability (anti-CO2, SO2), good gloss and good weathering resistance. But there are disadvantages such as the low-temperature brittle, heat softened. The composite technics will overcome its short comings and can obtain functional polymers. In this dissertation, the tourmaline polyacrylate composite emulsions (TL/PA) were prepared using acrylic acid modified with tourmaline (TL/AA), styrene (St), methyl methacrylate (MMA), and butyl acrylate (BA) as omonomers and ammonium persulfate(APS) as a initiator. The synthesis disighn of the composiste polymers (TL/PAs) is that the ratio of TL in TL/PA is1%,3%,5%,7%in w/w, respectively. The DLS displayed that the distribution of emulsions is between150nm-250nm. With a scanning electron microscope to observed modified TL/PA show that the tourmaline of nanoparticles have been good dispersibility in the surface of the polymer material. By TG, and DSC, test results show that the TL/PA composite materials are impoved of performance about thermal stability and Tg. The tensile strength of the composite materia increased in30%by UTM test. The number of negative ions have impoved, which used in Air ion detector to detect tourmaline modified composite acrylate material, to over3-fold unmodified polyacrylate composite. The purpose of this study is to create a new technics for inorganic particle polymer composite.
