The rapid development of China’s automobile industry greatly promote the progress of tire industry. The development of tire industry is faced with opportunity and challenges. Developing the autonomous core technology, improving the added value of product is the foundation of tire industry’s vigorous development. The radial tire, which is popular in the market, has been researched detailed, and a series of high-performance tires are appeared on the market. The research of tire in China started late, but developed fast, also launched some proprietary brand of high performance tires, however, it’s a long run to catch up with the advanced research level and develop the world’s leading high-performance tires.Based on the ABAQUS software, taken the nonlinearity conditions of rubber tire into consideration, a3D finite element model with tread pattern was established, and the static loading, free rolling, corner rolling, camber rolling and corner-camber rolling conditions were analyzed. The results showed that:the tread pattern has an influence on the contact patch and stress distribution of belt, and the circumferential grooves on tread affects the cornering performance greatly; at the same time, the inflation pressure of tire also influence the cornering performance, the larger of inflation pressure, the greater of lateral stiffness, but the smaller of lateral force when the lateral sliding is occurred. On the condition of corner rolling and camber rolling, uneven wear will be appeared on the tread, and the unilateral fatigue of tire will be caused, thus the service life will be affected greatly. Combining corner rolling and camber rolling into together, the uneven wear of tread was reduced to some extent, however, when the camber is large, the role of corner is very limited, therefore, it is very significant to choose a suitable camber angle and corner angle.On the basis of free rolling, the groove deformation was extracted, and the moving grid technology was used to apply the information to the CFD model, thus the air pumping noise of complex pattern groove was analyzed. The results showed that:when groove was in motion, the air flow in groove interacted with the external atmosphere, and the vortex and irrotational flow were appeared inside the groove, in addition, the export area of groove appeared a vortex. According to the theory of vortex sound, the formation and rupture of vortex is the root of sound, so the inhibition of vortex formation is an effective measures to reduce noise. The air pumping noise of different groove size structures were analyzed, the length of60mm, the width of8mm were preferable, and the smaller of groove depth, the smaller of sound pressure level. Finally, the new ideas and new structures were put forward to reduce the air pumping noise from two aspects of structure and material.
