An analysis approach for detailed tire model applied to 3D finite element analysis of radial tire was proposed, in which an effective mesh generation procedure was applied, and the detailed tread blocks with variable anti-skid depth were also fully considered. The tire body and the tread pattern meshes were constructed independently in the beginning, and the both were to be assembled later. Based on the consideration of nonlinear property and incompressibility of rubber material, the anisotropy of cord-rubber compositions, geometric nonlinearity caused by the large deformation of tire, assembling of tire with rim, contraction force of cord and nonlinear boundary conditions resulting from the contact of tire with road, the finite element analysis of contact was performed. The analysis result expressed the complicated condition of contact particularly. Furthermore, the analysis result of full tire model with detailed tread blocks was compared with the result of simple tire model with circumferential grooves.According to the summary of two methods which focus on the production of radial tire inner liner; aiming at the requirement and the property of all steel giant engineering radial tire inner liner, as well as the equipment producing rubber sheet with big width and thickness, an over-wide rubber sheet extrusion die was developed. Based on the present L-die, the new die adopts the technology of feeding together from both sides by two extruders, and the width and thickness of rubber sheet extruded by this die can reach the requirement of all steel giant engineering radial tire inner liner. Additionally, the distribution of fluid field in the flow channel of the die, and the influence of the pressure in the die, the power-law factor of the materials, the height of outlet surface and the height of damping part were analyzed deeply by ANSYS FLOTRAN CFD. Accordingly, the significant results of the optimization and the improvement for the design of the extrusion die which based on above analysis ware obtained. The research of fluid flow was based on the 3D model of flow channel. The results showed that, the height of the damper would be adjusted when extruding the sheets with different thickness in order to ensure the flow uniformity in flow channel and extrusion uniformity, and finally reach the extruding balance, meanwhile, promoted the merging of material in middle merging region. Commissioning of this first over-wide rubber sheet extrusion line showed that the core part had the ability to produce rubber sheet with the thickness from 2mm to 20mm and width of 2800mm. Moreover, it also ensured the sheet quality, meanwhile verified the correctness of theoretical analysis approach and simulation results.
