At moment, the oil industry has applied large-scale polymer flooding to improve oil recovery in our country. With the expansion of the scale, pure oil region development could not satisfy people’s need any longer. Transition zone oil layer polymer injection gradually becomes in full swing. But the current drive scheme is mainly aimed at oil field of pure oil reservoir. Due to the differences between transition zone and pure oil reservoir development, there are great differences between the nature of crude oil and pure oil. Therefore, we have to research in transition band area seriously for polymer flooding effect. Based on the investigation of the domestic and international research of polymer flooding, this article studies on laboratory for polymer flooding in view of the transition zone crude oil, providing practical basis and technical support on increasing oil production measures in transition zone during high water cut exploitation.For making displacement solution to the development, in this paper, the crude oil, pure oil region transition zone contrast experiment, crude oil, crude oil physical properties determination transition zone divided into crude oil type. By the determination of transition zone according to the density of crude oil classification standards belong to the intermediate class, considering from freezing point to conventional crude oil, based on the standard of viscosity is close to heavy type, conventional reservoir in general application. On this basis, the polymer flow experiments, comparison of polymer solution flow in the core, the evaluation of different molecular weight and concentration of polymer solution injectivity in different permeability cores. Finally, using the polymer solution, the three tubes in parallel on the heterogeneity of core oil displacement experiments, evaluation of polymer molecular weight and concentration of polymer flooding effect, making the ultimate oil displacement solution.
