In this paper, through the polymer flooding experiments in areal model and triaxial physical model, the alternation conditions of saturation in model in the process of oil displacement were follow-up monitored using by saturation examination system, front migration regularity in polymer flooding in anisotropic layer were given, the contribution ratio of polymer flooding recovery which was enhanced by enlarging swept volume and increasing displacement efficiency was calculated. The results show polymer flooding not only can enlarge swept volume but also can raise displacement efficiency, the most contribution owe to enlarging swept volume. In order to research the method which improve polymer flooding displacement effect, determine the best opportunity and the amount of polymer flooding, different injection polymer time and different slug polymer flooding experiments were taken in single dimensional cuboid and bidimensional plane model in this paper. The results show that earlier polymer was injected, better polymer displacement effect, the displacement effect of assemble slug is better than the single molecular weigh polymer slug and the displacement effect of super high molecular weigh polymer is better than middle-low molecular weigh polymer.
