Valuation Assessment Of Liangzi Lake Ecosystem Services

The valuation of the ecosystem service function is the evaluation results of the monetization of the ecosystem service function. It gives an intelligible performance of the ability of the ecosystem service function. The evaluation shows convincing evidence about the valuation of the ecosystem service function. It makes people understand the economic value of nature in the region and provide reliable and scientific grounds for policy making. And it also benefits the sustainability of the ecosystem.In this thesis, evaluation of ecosystem service function of Liangzi Lake is based on the methods which are widely used in the assessment of the valuation project and the standards which are suitable for our country. Liangzi Lake provides the sources, plants and animals, and functions, like water resources supply and runoff adjustment, flood adjustment, scientific study and tourism, carbon fixing and oxygen emission, water purification and waste degradation as well as biology habitat. The total ecosystem service function of Liangzi Lake is4.647billion RMB/year. The indirect value in use,3.287billion RMB/year, is far exceeding the direct value which is1.36billion RMB/year. The details are concluded as plants resources is valuation as0.36billion RMB/year, animal resources is0.675billion RMB/year, water resources supply and runoff adjustment function is0.325billion RMB/year, flood adjustment is1.079billion RMB/year, scientific study and tourism is0.175billion RMB/year, carbon fixing and oxygen emission is0.304billion RMB/year. water purification is1.612billion RMB/year and biology habitat is valued as0.117billion RMB/year. And the water purification and waste degradation function is the most valuable function which is1.612billion RMB/year and the accounts34.69%in the total value.The thesis also gives a comparison between this research and the familiar ones. The evaluation of Liangzi Lake in2005is3.46billion RMB/year, which is1/1.34of this one. and it can be concluded that the valuation of the Liangzi Lake is still rising. These comparisons are shown the project of ecological environment valuation assessment of Liangzi Lake is successful and necessary. The susmestions are also made based on the evaluation work.
