With the rapid development of science and technology, industrial production progress, spare parts becoming increasingly complicated miniaturization, thin model change, and the traditional mechanical more and more limited, EDM technology came into being, and has been developing rapidly. At the same time, in industrial production, with the deepening of the concept of "green manufacturing", medium innovation play an important role in promoting the EDM technology in China. To solve the problem of milling in a clean environment and on the processing speed, this paper proposes the methods of EDM milling with USM in jetted-mist, that EDM milling uses the hollow electrode combined with ultrasonic frequency vibration in the mist.Analysis of the theory, that is of EDM with USM in jetted-mist, is different from the processing mechanism of the liquid and gaseous media, and conclusively the atomization effect directly impacts on the processing quality of the discharge gap. Through the establishment of the dynamic equations of the discharge gap droplet medium, analysis of the droplet state of motion according to the actual situation. Basing on electric field superposition theory and using a spherical Laplace equation, establish the electric field model, and obtain the relationship of the electric field theory of the discharge gap and the size of the discharge gap. Analyses EDM mechanism and the influencing factors, then combines with the mechanism of droplet medium, and designs the key components of the composite EDM with USM in jetted-mist that is for the design of the system of EDM with USM in jetted-mist. Further in exploration of the characteristics of transmission and the mechanism of ultrasonic atomizer, analyzes that the introduction of ultrasound influence the system of the whole processing system.Improve the whole design of processing devices, including the design of general function components, the design of special functional electrode chuck, and the connection of key components, and complete the assembly drawing of the overall processing system. Using MSC/PATRAN software, analysis static and frequency response of the workbench of EDM with USM in jetted-mist, obtain that the ultrasonic vibration on the bench in a controlled range.This paper describes briefly the requirements of machining accuracy for pulse power and control system, and transforms precision problems into the analysis of the discharge gap. Pointing to the state of the discharge gap, this article describes the detection methods and principles, and designs the description of the corresponding control strategy to draw the circuit schematic diagram. Using ADAMS2005software, the entire system installations conducts dynamics simulation, including the speed, acceleration, force and displacement simulation of three-dimensional precision displacement units and the head, to meet the requirements of machining accuracy through analysis.The system of EDM with USM in jetted-mist solves the processing quality in EDM, reduces discharge interval and conforms to the idea of "green manufacturing". It improves the capability to eliminate discharge product, cools the spark gap effectively and makes environmental protection clean, to realize EDM milling for high quality clean and stability.
