Taking heavy metals content of the surface sediments in offshore area of Tangshanand is variation features as the main research object, in view of the key study andchoosing some key parts such as the luanhe river area-the West coast of the Bohai Seamouth of the douhe River, luannan Tsui East industrial zone, the caofeidian industrialarea, qinglonghe river estuaries, wetlands, Leting caofeidian Repulse Bay, jingtang portand the mouth of the typical domestic wastewater as the study sites,a research is carriedout by high density sampling the surface sediments analysis. Using X fluorescencespectroscopy (XRF), atomic absorption spectrometry (AAS) and inductive coupledplasma mass spectrometer (ICP-MS) to analyses heavy metals. Research contentincludes content of heavy metals in the surface sediments of the coastal sedimentenvironment, with the distance from the coast, and sediment grain size and characteristicsof estuaries, outfalls and other factors, as well as large Ocean Engineering (caofeidian)regional variation of heavy metal contents in the waters around. Discussion on Tangshanin the surface sediments of the coastal plane and vertical distribution characteristics ofheavy metals and evaluation on pollution of heavy metals in surface sediments from theanalysis and migration. Through quantitative content of heavy metals in surfacesediments from industrial and agricultural activities on changes and effects of migration,provide the research basis for the rational division of marine functional zones.According to the results of the data analysis, enrichment characteristics of heavymetals in sediment of Tangshan sea and the pollution trend was:As>Cr>Cu>Mn>Mg>Zn>Fe, particularly ports, rivers, estuaries, outfalls. Spatialvariability of heavy metal content of high intertidal content, low content of sub tidal; highsurface content, characteristics of deep drift down, forming the distribution characteristicsof the main reason for this is due to Tangshan coastal estuarine pollution source ofmaterial wealth, strong adsorption surface sediments of muddy, in favor of heavy metalabsorption and accumulation.
