In this paper, a soil culture experiment was carried out to investigate the differenceaccumulation of heavy metals content for fifteen amaranth cultivars, screened heavy metalpollution-safe cultivars. Then, ansysised the correlation between heavy metals and nutrientelements.Finnally, a hydroponic experiments used to study the absorption mechanism of heavymetals for amaranth. The results showed that:The concentrations of heavy metals and enrichment factor of Cd、Pb、Cr for number of9and15amaranth cultivars at a low level, belong to the lowest category of heavy metals bycluster analysis. While their biomass at a high level,so those amaranth cultivars suitable forwidely planted. However, the concentrations of Cd for number of3,11and12amaranth cultivarsexceeded, with their low biomass unfit widely planted. The screened low acumulative amaranthcultivars only suitable for planting in soil environment which the effective of heavy Metals in alow level. There is a very close relationship between Cd, Pb, Cr and Ca absorption andaccumulation.LaCl3inhibite amaranth absorpt and accumulate heavy metals. The process of absorptionand accumulation of of heavy metals (Cd, Cr and Pb) in the root of amaranth are active transportand consum energy. The inhibitory effect of heavy metals was different under LaCl3and DNPstress, among them the effect of Cr was the biggest, followed by Pb, Cd. Under LaCl3stress of8hours, inhibited the amaranth root to absorb Cd and Pb, inhibited adsorption of Cr.
