| The18th Party Congress put forward the idea of "striving to build a beautiful China and realizing the sustainable development of Chinese". The Party discussed the ecological civilization and put the construction of ecological civilization in the prominent position. Based on this background, it’s necessary to pay attention to the ecological construction of river landscape. River landscape plays a vital role in improving the environmental quality, upgrading the level of a city. There are numerous rivers in our country. Ecological construction of the river landscape will become the objective demand with the continuous development of the society. This paper researches part of Tingjiang river which is in Changting with literature retrieval, multi-discipline comprehensive analysis and methods of on-the-spot investigation. We analysis the river’s natural environmental situation and summarize the advantages and disadvantages of it and finally put forward the strategy of how to protect and recover the ecological landscape. The result has a positive effect of restoring the ecosystem and lay a solid foundation for the future Tingjiang eco-tourism. Finally, protecting and recovering the ecological landscape of rivers shows a direction of how to develop Chinese rivers’ecological landscape.This paper’s main results are as follows:(1)Analyzing the natural elements of Tingjiang river including streams, riverside, riparian plants, bridges, natural and cultural landscape. Advantages include:there are well-preserved natural river, outstanding natural and cultural landscape, ongoing beautiful Tingzhou project and profound historical background. Disadvantages include:ecological damage is serious and hydrophilicity is poor, the riverside landscape range is narrow, there are too many featureless buildings at riverbank, regional culture is not last or developed, lacking of diverse facilities and greenway construction.(2)We propose some principles and strategies of protecting and recovering the river landscape by considering ecology aspects, culture and aesthetics aspects and functional aspects. Protection strategies include:defining river bank protection range, protecting the natural habitat of the river, landscape protection along the river, the plants and the greenway protection. Recovery strategies include:shipping recovery, eco-revetment recovery, Cultural relics recovery, riparian plants recovery, and river landscape facilities construction. |
