Landuse/cover change research plays a significant role in global climate change. The response of regional climate to landuse change is related to various societal and economic factors. This study focuses on some landuse change’s potential climate impacts. Based on the current landuse condition, this study designs two comprehensive landuse change scenarios. Three30a numerical simulations were conducted with RegCM4under the current landuse condition and the new scenarios. Comparisons between scenario simulations and the simulation under current landuse condition lead to the main results:1) from the parameterization of regional climate modelling, this study discovered that boundary layer schemes have more serious impacts on the traditional focused lateral boundary condition schemes and cumulus convection schemes;2) agricultural landuse deduces the regional temperature more than grassland does;3) agricultural irrigation increases regional precipitation, more than100mm/a in some regions;4) desertification decreases its local precipitation;5) this study proves that landuse change affects much wider area instead of the local regional climate,.
