This paper focuses on the cross-polarization research of EM wave acted by partially charged medium based on Rayleigh approximation theory. The main work is as follows:Firstly, this article deduces the maximum isolation condition of EM waves acted by partially charged spherical particles based on Rayleigh approximation. It is found that, propagation direction of EM waves and charge distribution angle will result in cross polarization effect. In addition, the horizontal line cross polarization effect of EM waves at different frequencies is studied experimentally in this article. The result shows that cross polarization will be generated by adding the partially charged glass during the transmission of EM waves and this effect is significantly enhanced when the glass is negatively charged while it is less when being affected positively. These results are likely to help the theoretical and experimental research on the surface charge and distribution area of sand particles and the rational design of satellite communication antenna and maximum isolation condition under sand and dust environment.
