Research On The Ecological Landscape Restoration In Gejiu,Yunnan

With the upcoming of the post-industrial era, many resources-oriented cities, which enjoyed a period of prosperity in the past, have begun their industrial transformation and city upgrade. The restoration work of the mining abandoned area and the brownfield land has also gained wide attention of various subject fields. In2008, Gejiu city in Yunnan province was listed in the first batch of China’s69resource-exhausted cities. At the same year, it became one of the12cities in the list of pilot transformation of resources-oriented cities. Since then, Gejiu has entered a new period of transformation into an industrial and tourism city.As a sound remedy to treating the trauma left in the industrial period, the restoration of the brownfield is of vital significance to the mining zone pollution and environmental pollution left by the tin ore mining and smelting. This paper moves from literature review and case analysis to field survey and from ecological restoration to the reutilization approaches of the landscape of the abandoned land to conduct systematic research of the ecological landscape restoration strategies of the abandoned land of Gejiu’s tin ore area.First, this paper analyzes the natural environment, geological conditions, cultural and social characteristics and the major environmental problems facing the abandoned land, putting forward the theoretical framework including the classification, restoration aims, basic principles and restoration influence evaluation of the mining land. Following that, according to the pollution situation, the abandoned land is divided into two types, including being seriously polluted and idle (or with light pollution). After evaluation of the applicability of advanced pollution treatment technology in the tin ore area, this paper puts forward the ecological landscape restoration planning of the two land types. In the final part, based on the summarization and analysis of the landscape design methods, such as post-industrial landscape and land art, which have a relatively huge influence in the foreign mining zone restoration, this paper conducts preliminary planning of visiting and rest activity types, which can be provided to people during different restoration periods in the mining zone by combining the demands of the tin ore area tourism transformation. At the same time, this paper puts forward suggestions for three development models of the original ecological landscape restoration, reutilization of the step-shaped land texture left by the mining and protection of the industrial historical sites by combining the mining zone abandoned land reutilization planning with the hope of providing relevant reference for Gejiu tin ore area and the brownfield restoration of the type in China.
