Time of Flight (TOF) Positron Emission Tomography (PET) is the development of PET, the arrival time difference of photons generated by each positron annihilation event can be measured by TOF technique and can better locate the position of the annihilation.TOF technique desire better time resolution of system.More narrow time window can be selected by using the high time resolution,thereby reducing the count rate of random events. The use of TOF information to the image reconstruction can reduce noise and shorten total scan time.Comprehensively and thoroughly analysis of TOF-PET performance required to obtain a complete TOF-PET data, and now there is no general TOF-PET simulation software. This paper built a TOF-PET simulation platform, and used the Monte Carlo simulation software of Geant4to analysis and simulation the body TOF-PET detector.This paper described in detail based on the Geant4of TOF-PET detector’s geometry description, such as the definition of the material, and specifies of the physical interaction of all particles and may be used during the simulation.This paper describe the record of hit information in detail, and set the digital information of the hit information.Since the TOF detector system requires a high time resolution, so the digital process was set up for each of the corresponding time resolution of each crystal.In the last of the paper,a flat TOF-PET simulation based Gate was constructed to provide data for image reconstruction.In this paper,the preparation of a complete TOF-PET simulation software is completed.It provides a solid and reliable foundation for later analysis of the impact of the various parameters TOF-PET detector’s performance and is the guarantee for image reconstruction algorithm.
