Toth (1963) considered that the unconfined groundwater basin water flow has flow systems including Local, intermediate and regional. In this paper, the numerical simulation model of the Huaihe River basin groundwater flow system use groundwater numerical simulation software FEFLOW. Regional groundwater circulation situation is simulated. Analysis of regional groundwater circulation conditions and discharge area chemical characteristics of water use the flow system features. The simulation results show:(1) In the bedrock mountain there is a small hydraulic conductivity and bad water permeability ability. Water recycling based on large cycles in deep. The thick loose layer of plain area has a greater hydraulic conductivity and good water permeability ability. Water recycling based on small cycles in shallow.(2)The old watercourse of Yellow River plays a role as watershed and has a significant impact on the regional water recycling.(3) The results of hydrological cycle caused lower portion of some areas have great head values and upper part head value is low. Artesian zone is formed.(4) Panxie mining area is located in hydrological cycle discharge area, the main types of groundwater is C1-Na-type. And because of the mixing between shallow and deep groundwater, make the water chemical type of mine in central aquifer and the upper aquifer from the C1-Na-type transition to Cl HCO3-Na type, then to HCO3-Ca Mg, HCO3-Na·Mg type.The model simulation results match the characteristics of the flow system. We can get the Huaihe River basin groundwater circulation conditions and analyze the hydrological phenomena in the region. The groundwater chemistry data of Panxie mining area is considered. In the effects of gravity-driven action and dispersion, analysis of formation water chemical characteristics of groundwater in mining area.
