Abstract/Summary:
In recent years, with the development of high-power ultrashort pulse laser technology, the interaction of femtosecond laser with materials has attracted much attention due to lots of new phenomena and wide potential applications, one of the physical phenomenon is femtosecond laser propagation in the transparent medium with the formation of plasma filaments and supercontinuum radiation. In this dissertation, we main discuss femtosecond filamentation and supercontinuum generation in silver-nanoparticle-doped water. First of all, we introduce the physical mechanism about the femtosecond transmitting in the transparent medium and the basic definition of plasma filaments and application of the interaction of femtosecond laser with materials. On the second part, we take the brief summary on the optical correlation properties of the nanoparticle, research progress of the optical nonlinear properties and application. On the part of experiment, The supercontinuum spectrum from silver-nanoparticle-doped water and CdTe quantum dot water are studied, comparing and analysing the data with water. The experimental conditions about solution concentration, input energy, focusing position, focusing lens and polarization state are changed. The effect of experiment parameter about supercontinuum spectrum is investigated.
