| Supercontinuum emission (SE) has a great value both in theoretical research and applications. In this paper, we reviewed the development of the research on SE and the femtosecond laser effect on photodetector. Besides those, relate applications SE have also been introduced. A lot of factors can affect the spectrum broadening of SE, such as self phase modulation, self-steepening, four wave mixing, et al. At first, we discussed plasma effect, Kerr effect, four-wave mixing and some other effect which has some contribution to the spectrum broadening of SE. And then we introduced three filamentation models. At last, we did some experiments about different focal length and different energy during the spectrum broadening of SE,and give the Physical mechanism. On the basis of those results, we did some experiments about SE effect on PIN photodetector, and got a good result. |
