The zhangjiakou-xuanhua region (abbreviated as Zhang Xuan area) is located in themiddle of the eastern margin of the north China platform, on the south side ofchongli-chicheng-chengde-beipiao ductile shear zone, in the mating parts of InnerMongolia axis and yanshan fold belt. Which is the important Au and Ag depositconcentrated area in China, Called as "the golden triangle, the silver lining".Shuijingtungold deposit and Zhongshangou gold deposit both located in the golden triangle area,Therefore, there are very important practical significance to make a distinction betweenShuijingtun gold deposit and Zhongshangou gold deposit. In this paper, guided by the theory of mantle branch structure, on the basis ofsummarizing predecessors’ data, through field investigation and indoor synthetic analysis,on the detailed comparative study of two gold mine from the ore deposit geologicalcharacteristics, geological characteristics of Ore bodies, Ore-controlling structure,Ore-controlling regularity and isotope geochemistry, we can research the Ore-forming andOre-controlling structure of Shuijingtun gold deposit and Zhongshangou gold deposit, summarize ore formation regularity and further guide the prospecting work. The two mining area have basic similar characteristics of strata, structure, magmaticrocks. Though their surrounding rocks are different, both transformed by the strongmigmatitization. The mineralization of Shuijingtun gold deposit and Zhongshangou golddeposit are related to Yanshanian magmatic activities, their ore bodies distribution andformation obviously controlled by Yanshan epochectono-magmatic activity. The two mining area have basic similar characteristics of ore minerals, ore type andwall rock alteration. The width of Silicification, pyritization belt and the strength of themineralization are proportional to the gold mineralization intensity. Because theirsurrounding rocks are different, Shuijingtun gold deposit surrounding rock developchloritization, however Zhogshangou gold deposit wall rock alteration mainly arekaolinization. Shuijingtun gold deposit and Zhongshangou gold deposit have similar characteristicsof hydrogen, oxygen and carbon isotopic composition. The ore-forming hydrothermal ismixed by the primitive magma water, metamorphic water and atmospheric water. Among ofthem, primitive magma water is most close to mineralization. Lead and sulfur isotopecharacteristics of Shuijingtun gold deposit and Zhongshangou gold deposit show thatmetallogenic materials mainly come from mantle source.NS ductile-brittle shear fracture is the major ore-controlling structure, Is the secondaryfracture structure derived from secondary regional fracture structure. The ore controllingstructure of Shuijingtun gold deposit is relatively complex, contains nearly north-south,nearly north-west and nearly east-west structures. Which are the secondary fracturestructures developed within the upper cover. From what has been discussed above, we can know that: Shuijingtun gold deposit andZhongshangou gold deposit have similar metallogenic background, and the formation anddistribution of the ore bodies is controlled by a series of multi-period and multi-stage foldand fault formed in the evolution of the Zhangjiakou-Xuanhua mantle branch。The differentore-forming environment make a contribution to the distinction of Shuijingtun gold depositand Zhongshangou gold deposit.
