Gas hydrates that coal, oil, natural gas was discovered, was another found importantenergy available for long-term use of mankind, is widely considered to be the cleanest andhuge reserves of resources. The permafrost layer is one of the key elements of the gashydrates reservoir,so the in-depth study of the permafrost layer is a very important part ondevelopment and utilization of gas hydrates.This study is based on the permafrost in the physical nature of the performancecharacteristics of high resistivity, high velocity, through the application of geophysicalexploration methods, including audiomagnetotelluric method, high-density resistivity method,ground penetrating radar three methods to carry out the permafrost pilot study.2009,Chinasuccessfully drilling for gas hydrate samples in Muli basin, the preliminary investigationresults show that the area with good metallogenic conditions and prospecting potential ofgas hydrates.Therefore, the Muli basin as pilot area, comparing the advantages anddisadvantages of different geophysical methods in the exploration of the permafrostlayer,and research the spatial distribution characteristics of the Muli basin test area toprovide the basis for evaluation of the resource potential of gas hydrates,as well asfavorable reference to other possible areas of gas hydrates reserves.The thesis combined with the Muli basin geological background data and measureddrilling data, in the first carried through forward simulation involved audio magnetotelluricmethod, high density electrical ground penetrating radar three geophysical methods in the indoor,to Provide a reliable scientific basis for subsequent data processing and interpretation.Through Fine field exploration in the the Muli basin test area to get the most accurateexploration data, on the basis through reasonable data processing, get a reliable geologicinterpretation. Summarizes the respective advantages and disadvantages of the threegeophysical methods in the exploration of the permafrost layer,get the evaluation of theeffective of three geophysical exploration method, and a set of relatively perfect ofcomprehensive geophysical exploration plan in the alpine permafrost region.At the sametime,summarizes the Muli basin test area of the the top of the permafrost layer burialdepth,the thickness of the permafrost layer and the spatial distribution characteristics ofpermafrost layer.
