Fang Chenggang coastal zone is located in the southeast coastal area of Fang Chenggang city, Guang Xi. Recent decades the landscape pattern has changed since the high pace economical development, also many ecological problems has occurred. Therefore, it means so much for ecological planning and sustainable development of Fang Chenggang city to study and prevent the landscape pattern changing dynamic of Fang Chenggang coastal zone. In this essay, the changes of the entire landscape pattern and different regions were analyzed and compared based on remote sensing data and geography information system tools. Moreover, we can predict the develop trend and qualitative analyze the driving force of changes on landscape pattern. The results shows:(1)The area of arbor forest has increased in dry land landscape of Fang Chenggang coastal zone in just10years, this increase mainly came from the transition of shrub forest, uncultivated land and paddy field. The degree of fragmentation of arbor forest landscape has intensified, the patch cohesion has increased as well. The area of building plot has increased, this increase mostly came from the transition of paddy field, tidal-flat area, arbor forest and agriculture dry land. The degree of fragmentation of arbor forest landscape has declined, but the patch cohesion has aggravated. Among artificial wetland, the area of fishing wetland has increase, this increase mainly come from transition of paddy field and tidal-flat area. The natural and semi-natural wetland has tremendously decreased in just10years. Among which, the tidal-flat area has decreased by3777.48hm2, and The degree of fragmentation has intensified, whereas the patch cohesion has declined. On the other hand, the area of Dong Xing mangrove wetland has increased by135.81hm2under the protection of the preserve. The degree of fragmentation of the entire Fang Chenggang coastal zone landscape has aggravated, the diversity and contagion has increased. The landscape tend to be homogeneous and stable.(2) There has been differences between the landscape patterns of Dong Xing coastal area, Fang Cheng agriculture field and harbor city region. These differences have presented the regional variation principle of the entire landscape. The Transition of fishing wetland and paddy field occurred in the agriculture hilly zone of Dong Xing coastal region. The forest transition occurred in the agriculture hilly zone. The change of building plot and tidal-flat area happened in all of the three regions.(3) The diving force that influenced the landscape pattern changes of Fang Chenggang coastal area can be divided into natural factor and human-caused factor. Among which, the natural factor respond for the fundamental effects on landscape changes, while the human-caused factor is the major factor. Furthermore, the way and intensity that the three region were affected are different, so the changes on landscape patterns were relatively different. In50years the area of semi-natural and natural wetland and forest will present a descending trend, however, the area of artificial wetland and building plot follow a ascending trend, according to the prediction of Fang Chenggang landscape change dynamic based on Maulcoff model. In this essay, the ecological environment problems of Fang Chenggang coastal zone landscape pattern changes are illustrated according to the analysis above. Optimize advices are put forward combined with the develop features of the three regions. New view point is provided to the conservation of Fang Chenggang coastal area landscape, the recovery of ecosystem in the damaged coastal region and the ecological planning of landscape. In the mean time, important reference is offered to the reasonable planning of rural and urban construct in Fang Chenggang city.
