Vanadium nitride is an important metallurgical additive and a good electrode materialmolecule. Studying its interior microstructure is necessary for fully understanding its intrinsicnature and better application. Eight groups of known experimental spectroscopic data oflow-lying rotational quantum states and the analytical formula derived by Sun group in theirprevious works are used in this work to study the accurate R-branch and P-branch emissionspectra of the (0,0) band in the f1Φ-a1Δ,d1Σ+-X3Δ1and e1Π-a1Δ systems of the VNmolecule. The results not only reproduce all known experimental spectral lines accurately, butalso generate correct values of the unknown spectral lines up to J=80which are not availableexperimentally. This dissertation consists of four Chapters. The first chapter introduces the property andapplication of VN, physical methods used to study the spectra of diatomic molecularelectronic states and several experiment methods. Chapter2briefly describes the analyticalformula used to obtain accurate spectral lines of diatomic system. The R and P-branchemission spectral lines up to J=80of the (0,0) bands in the f1Φ-a1Δ,d1Σ+-X3Δ1and e1Π-a1Δ electronic state of VN molecule are studied, and the calculated results of VNmolecule are discussed in Chapter3. Chapter4is the summary of this dissertation.
