Wetland is an important part of the ecological system. It is timely and accurate to obtain basis information of wetland.The dynamic monitoring of wetland, conservation and sustainable use and other areas of study has important significance. Our country in wetland theory research, the basic theory is weak, because the theory of wetland science itself is not sound, as a subject, it is still in the primary stage of development. In the past, the study of wetland mainly used is the remote sensing and GIS technology, and this study is based on the spatial data mining technology is introduced. At the moment, at home and abroad have begun to research and application of the earth’s spatial data mining and the knowledge with the development. Spatial data mining technology can find the potential value of the characteristics and patterns, implicated in spatial database. It is the effective tools and means to explore the complex space entity and elements of the interaction between law, knowledge and the model. Using spatial clustering knowledge of the spatial data mining and remote sensing, GIS visualization and spatial analysis function, led to the result of wetland’s research analysis more accurate.This paper built the Jiansanjiang wetland nature reserve as the research object, based on the2012’s SPOT image of Honghe wetland nature reserve and the topographic map of this study area as the information source. Through the study of the field acquisition of the vegetation information and use of remote sensing interpretation function, generating the vegetation classification diagram, then extracts three dominant species of information. And then will the elevation information of study area topographic map and dominant vegetation classification graph overlay analysis. Then obtain the gradient change rule of the study area’s vegetation distribution. In addition, use level information from field acquisition of the study area, and the experimental data of soil samples and water samples, all of them combined analysis with the information of vegetation distribution separately. Then obtain that dominant species’ gradient change rule of vegetation distribution under the influence of geographical factors. And by using the spatial clustering rules of the spatial data mining knowledge, clustering the results of superposition, so as to dig out the gradient change rule of the study area vegetation distribution in the geographic elements of the elevation, finally according to above analysis results of wetland vegetation protection strategy is put forward. In this paper, the main is the application of spatial clustering rules on wetland vegetation spatial distribution change of gradient. It has the guiding value that the study on wetland vegetation as well as the protection of the wetland, the reasonable development and utilization of the wetland.
