With the development of economy and living standard in China,the city’s traffic isalso developing rapidly. Currently,our large and medium-sized cities in the vehiclepopulation increased dramatically, the city’s road load more and more beyond the abilityto design, have brought serious traffic congestion and traffic accidents. For motorvehicle drivers need a car navigation device that can help the driver fast, secure andconvenient guidelines to the destination. GIS-based intelligent navigation technology isan effective way to solve the problem.This thesis first analyzes the architecture and works of the geographic informationsystem (GIS), including GIS definition, GIS composition, GIS GIS in the main function.Automation and intelligence of the intelligent navigation system development andexplore intelligent navigation system in line with our traffic characteristics, GPSnavigation, map-matching technology and traffic flow related technologies, from atechnology perspective. Intelligent navigation systems through GIS query prevailingcondition of the road, road access programs, and to improve the capacity of the road torelieve traffic resistance, improve road traffic safety factor.According to the thesis study direction and main content, this paper mainly inintelligent navigation system of some key technologies are deeply analyzed, and the keyto influence the system implementation algorithm and technical content key research,and in combination with the characteristics of traffic network, based on involved in thesystem to optimize the algorithm realization, improve the realization of the systemstability and accuracy. In summary, this thesis have done work mainly include:(1)to the intelligent navigation system need to adopt all kinds of technologies, suchas GIS, map matching technology and traffic control theory are simply described, this isthe system realization foundation;(2)according to our country road traffic actual characteristic construct networkmodel, the system can be used in a path optimization algorithm was improved, providethe system performance;(3)through to the intelligent navigation system based on GIS of detailed design, the system involves the function modules are introduced in detail, and presents therealization of module technology methods and ways to ensure that the systemimplementation maneuverability.In this thesis, the design and implementation of intelligent navigation system,mainly based on GIS technology and map-matching technology to optimize the pathalgorithm, the route is more reasonable. System operation will easily, and the systemreliability and good stability.
