Quantum communication has drawn world-wide attention for its unconditionalsecurity. Although it has been developed from laboratory demonstrating at laboratory tobuilding various experimental network, the architecture, topology, protocol and evenapplication pattern of quantum communication network still need much deeper research.In this paper safe information network based on optical photon is researched bysimulation.Firstly, we introduce the basic concept, development and status of quantumcommunication. Secondly, we show related basic knowledge of optical quantumcommunication network, including concept of quantum information and protocols ofkey distribution, and then we introduce representative quantum communication network.Thirdly, we propose a simulation structure by which we design and implement thesimulation model of quantum terminal, access switch and core router according topractical architecture of quantum communication network. At the same time, we designthree simulation scenarios, including LAN, MAN and WAN. Fourthly, we evaluatesimulation platform that we have implemented. And then we simulate call loss ratio ofvoice service in three different simulation scenarioes. The simulated values areconsistent with the theoretical values. Finally, we summarize the whole paper, andprefigure our future work.
