Urban river plant landscape is an important part of the urban greening landscape, it plays a crucial rule in protecting the biodiversity, stabling the river complex ecosystem, conservating and cleaning water, easing the urban heat island effect and so on, it also can reflect the regional characteristics and cultural customs of a city. Six urban rivers plant landscape of Haikou city, Qionghai city and Sanya city are comprehensively investigated, and the crowds of relevant experts, teachers and the graduate evaluate the river plant landscape photos that are from the scene of the survey destination, in order to research the urban river plant landscape for understanding the status and characteristics and providing reference and guidance for the future construction of the coastal city river plant landscape, the results of the study are as follows:(1) Through the investigation, there are160species of plants that belong to55families and126genera in the investigation regions. There are2families2genera2species in fern,2families2genera2species in gymnosperm,51families122genera156species in angiospermae including12families36genera41species in monocotyledon and39families86genera115species in dicotyledon. In these families there are more genera, these genera are:in fabaceae there are17genera21species, in palmae there are13genera14spcies, in moraceae there are1genera9spcies, in euphorbiaceae there are8genera9spcies, in agavaceae there are5genera7spcies, in apocynaceae there are6genera7spcies, in apocynaceae there are6genera7spcies.(2)10indicators of the ecological benefits and landscape benefits are used to research the influencing factors of Hainan coastal urban river plant landscape, and the sort sequence of the importance degree of the10indicators is stability of ecological communities> plant adaptability> hierarchy of plant disposition> proportion of native plants> green looking ratio> species diversity> richness of plant color> coordination with surrounding environment> plant morphology> consistency of plant growth.(3)The plant landscape quality grade is divided into Ⅰ、Ⅱ、Ⅲ、Ⅳ、Ⅴ level, level I represents the plant landscape quality is the best, level V represents the plant landscape quality is the worst. The river plant landscape photos are evaluated comprehensively by using Analytic Hierarchy Process, the results of the evaluation show that the sort sequence of the comprehensive evaluation value of the six rivers is the Sanya River> the Linchun River> the Nandu River> the Meishe River> the Wanquan River> the Haidian River. Through the evaluating grade, Hainan coastal urban river plant landscape is satisfactory, most staying in level Ⅰ and Ⅲ, the quality of the river plant landscape has large difference and the optimization design is needed to individual river plant landscape.(4) Three rivers in Haikou Urban Construction Zone and their28typical plots are evaluated comprehensively. The results show that there are only2plots belong to grade1,7%of28typical plots,5plots belong to grade Ⅱ,18%of28typical plots, more plots belong to grade Ⅲ and Ⅳ,32%and43%of28typical plots, the landscape quality level is not high, but six kinds of plant configurations can provide reference and guidance for the future construction of Hainan coastal urban river plant landscape.(5)According to the issues of the Hainan coastal urban river plant landscape, many optimizing countermeasures are proposed for corresponding to these issues, and some plat species are recommended for suiting to the Hainan coastal urban river plant landscape, in order to provide reference and experience for the future construction of the Hainan coastal urban river plant landscape.
