Meteorological data has the characteristics of multi-source, heterogenous, great capacity and spatial. Hpw to be more comprehensive and intuitive visualization express a variety of meteorological data is a major problem facing in the current meteorological data applications and is an important basis of the forecast decision services. GeoGraphics Information System(GIS) is a geographic information computer system of collection, storage,management,display and application, is a common techniques of analysis and process massive geographic data. In recent years, GIS plays an increasingly important role in the construction of information systems within various industries, including the construction of meteorological information field. From the object-oriented point of view meteorological data belong to the scope of the geographic imformation and spatial characterostics, without the information of spatial location of meteorological elements don’t make any sense. However the traditional data processing method such as tables, graphs,etc, in the spatial orientation could not accurate and quantitative expression the relevant information. Therefore, how use of the meteorological data combined with GIS to solve the problem of meteorological scientific research and business applications, to provide a comprehensive and rapid decision support information for weather forecasting, has the important scientific significance and application value.In the paper, the research is according to the bidding project of Jiading District meteorological disaster monitoring and warning information release system(Ⅰ) and connection with actual requirement around the integration of multi-source heterogeneous and visualization system construction to develop the meteorological information intergration and visualization system based on GIS which the development language is C#, the GIS development platform is SuperMap and the database menagement tools is SQL Server2008. The main work and innovation in the paper are as follows:1) Researching the method of translation from multi-source and heterogenous to GIS meterological data and then create the spatial database to store GIS meteorological data by using database technology and it could provide a good data guarantee to query and visualization for GIS meteorological data.2) According to the using demand, the system integrated meteorological data of multi-source and heterogenous and developed a relatively comprehensive and integrated GIS visualization system, it avoids the problems of function simple and quantity in current weather software.3) Analysis the current lack of meteorologiacl data in terms of using and expression and gives the meteorological data processing and visualization methods base on GIS.4) Proposed an improved quantum genetic algorithm in query optimization of great capacity meteorological data and it gives a solution to solve the problem of long time cost in system respond when meteorological data query and improve the efficiency in query.Base on those innovation works, it has developed the Jiading District Meteorological GIS Platform based on the technologies of meteorological information integration and visulization and the system has been deployed and used successfully in Jiading District, Shanghai Meterological Bureau. Through these researchs and the development of system, it can further improve the level of understanding of meteorological data by comprehensive and effective using.
