Abstract/Summary:
Having characteristics of easy acquisition, rich content and easy-to-read, Remote Sensing Image Data has an increasingly wide range of applications in these fields of land resource management, ecological environment monitoring, agricultural production, disaster relief and space exploration. And it has played an important role in the development of Chinese economic. In the2th National Land Survey, the role of remote sensing image data has been fully exploited. In the2th Land Survey, Department of Land and Resources of Jiangsu Province has accumulated a large amount of image data. Current technology of storage and management of image data has problems of much time costing from image acquisition, storage, processing to application, and low display efficiency, so it can’t meet the needs of the storage and management of massive image data. So, how to store and manage massive image data in Land Survey efficiently, shorten costing time from image acquisition, processing to application and improve display efficiency is the current problem to be solved quickly. In this paper, highly efficient storage and management methods of massive image in Land Survey of Jiangsu Province will be studied by literature review, comparative analysis and a combination of theoretical analysis and empirical analysis. Simultaneously, this model will be experimental verification by Image Management Subsystem in Provincial Data Center System with the provincial image data. The specific research will be done from the following aspects:Firstly, to introduce image acquisition, technical standards and the precision of remote sensing image data of Jiangsu province in the2th National Land Survey and analyze the characteristics of the data further. Meanwhile the storage and management theory and technologies of massive remote sensing image data, such as Distributed File Cloud Storage and Overview, are elaborated and analyzed in the paper.Secondly, by analyzing and comparing the commonly used storage management technology and structure of remote sensing image data in the current, the paper points out the limitations of the existing storage method. Considering the actual situation of provincial land survey, the paper analyses the storage target and storage needs of the image data in the provincial land survey, and proposes Distributed File Cloud Storage and a combination of file system and database to store and manage image data. Furthermore, by analyzing the mainstream organization and management method of image currently and image compression technology, the paper points out the limitations of the current used Map Tile Technology in applications, and advantages and disadvantages of several image compression technologies. Taking into account the characteristics of remote sensing image data in provincial level, the paper uses Mosaic Dataset to organize the image data and proposes a combination of Image Pyramid and Overview technology to manage and display image data. Simultaneously, the paper chooses JPEG_YCbCr compression technology for image data compression by analyzing the needs of land survey about remote sensing image compression, and some comparison tests about several commonly used image compression technologies. Finally, the paper selects the image management subsystem in the provincial data center system of the2th land survey of Jiangsu as the experimental platform, and uses remote sensing image data of Jiangsu province in2009to verify the storage and management methods of this paper. Simultaneously, the paper does the experiment using the storage and management method proposed in the article, and does the other experiment using the map tile technology. At the end of the paper, the experimental results are compared and analyzed.
