The Provincial Quality Control System for Automatic Weather Stations designedand implemented in this dissertation can check the quality of the data from centraldatabase per hour. Besides the traditional extreme range check、internal consistencycheck、time consistency check, the monthly extreme range and adjacent monthlyextreme range check、the spatial consistency check including different value method andquotient method are used in this system. The quality control for the data from over onehundred stations per hour can be completed in two minutes and put the results intodatabase for further analysis. We adopted the idea of rule to destroy the union betweendata and logics. The idea would help us update the system while the system was running,including add field types or the rules for range and consistency check. Further more, wecould make the meteorological service getting better.This system could start the quality check procedure as soon as possible. Besides,the system also has the control-panel in which the administrators could check thequality of the data and control all the resources. The rapid and effective Quality ControlSystem for Automatic Weather Stations is important in the meteorological services.Followings are the main contents of this dissertation:1、Based on the situation of our province, we selected some suitable quality checkmethods and made the quality check plan. Gathering all the quality check methods isuseful for the centralized managing. The whole quality check procedure can becompleted in two minutes, which would meet the demand of the Quality Control.2、In the powerful management interface, users could confirm the quality controlresults including many analytical procedure and make the final determination. Also, thepeople could select the statistic results; the rich application could show many kinds ofstatistical charts which could reflect the development of the data.3、Many parameters and quality control rules would affect the final results, so thissystem could update the quality control method including the parameters and the ruleswhich could rapidly update the whole procedure without any influence. 4、This system offered different methods of presenting the page which could helpthe users analyze the data in many ways. Meanwhile, the statistical chart includinghistogram、line-graph、pie-chart and like-GIS are used in this system. The statisticalchart implied the statistical information, and the like-GIS could present the data fromthe aspect of space.5、the whole system used many kinds of quality check methods. Besides thegeneral quality check methods, other quality check rules which is more useful for ourprovince is used in the system, for example the monthly extreme range check、internalconsistency check between the automatic data and the manual data.In a word, the Quality Control System for Automatic Weather Stations couldrapidly check the quality of the data from the provincial database, and list the resultswhich would help administrators confirm the data and make the final decision.
