Because of the development of science and the progress of technology, businessenvironment becomes more turbulent and complex, and competitions amongenterprises become more intense. So the primary task for the sustainabledevelopment of the modern enterprises is to nurture the ability to successfullyrespond to environmental change. Dynamic capability is defined as the enterprise’sability to integrate and reconfigure internal and external competences to improve theoperrating capabilities and make further contribution to the adaption to the rapidlychanging environment. It is the source of competitive advantage which enterprisesgain in a turbulent and complex enviroment, and it plays a important role in thesustainable development of enterprises. Therefore, on the basis of relevant researchliterature review, this research chooses dynamic capabilities as a starting point, andbuild a theoretical model which includes organizational learning as the independentvariable, dynamic capability as the mediating variables, enterprise performance asthe dependent variable, the environment uncertainty as the adjustment variable, expecting to understand and state the relationship among organizational learning, dynamic capabilities and enterprise performance in the context of small and middleenterprises.Based on the existing mature scale at home and abroad, this research developsthe appropriate scale combining the specific situation of the development of China’senterprises. Through the way of questionnaire survey, this research collects122validsamples data which from200enterprises of Zhejiang, Jiangsu, Shanghai,Guangdong, Shenzhen, Shandong, Liaoning, Tianjin, Beijing and so on. Finally, using SPSS16.0software to analyse data, this research mainly comes out thefollowing conclusions:First, the dynamic capabilities of small and middle enterprises (SMEs) in theChinese environment can be classified as four dimensions: environmental insightcapability, transform and update capability, technical flexiblility capability andorganizational flexibility capability. Dynamic capabilities have significantly positiveinfluence on enterprise performance. Furthermore, the four dimensions of dynamiccapabilities show different influence on enterprise performance. Second, organizational learning has significantly positive influence on enterpriseperformance, while the dynamic capabilities present completely mediate effects.Third, environmental uncertainty’s regulating effect between organizational learningand dynamic capabilities is not significant. However, environmental uncertainty hassignificantly positive influence on dynamic capabilities. Finally, based on the result of empirical analysis, this research summarizes theprogress made in the theoretical aspects, puts forward some managerial implications, and also points out shortcomings in the study and future research prospects.
