| Though there is no argument about the truth that urbanization is a common trend in our world, which is based on the development theory and practical proof, the debates about urbanization are not bound to end up, as well, there is no any adequate excuse that we can have urbanization shelved and forgotten. In fact, as the fashion prevailing the whole world, and the structural transformation influencing and changing people’s live-model, it has deserved more focus. The development of modern urbanization is definitely the milestone in human society modernization. Within over100years of international urbanization, we can divide this progress into four patterns:Model1:the rural areas assimilated into the city. Model2:under governmental guideline, city and country followed their own paths of urbanization respectively. Mode13:rural region stepped into urbanization directly. Model4:the typical pattern named "Regional Network ". However, to turn our eyes to China, the new pattern of urbanization there is different from the above four typical models. Our urbanization does to be chartered by the developing path to suit Chinese environment, the scientific outlook to guild urbanization, and the strategy stressing the citizen-orientations. Thus, we can conclude that Chinese urbanization emphasis on the "intensiveness, harmoniousness, fairness, and sustainability ". And its core point is the citizenization of peasant, while its key point is improvement of urbanization in quality.Since1952, Urbanization in Hefei has passed through the three stages, such preparation phase, slow development phase, and rapid development, and now steps into the period of stable development. In the future, the prediction about Hefei’s urbanization is related to the improvement of urbanization in quality. According to the "2011Blue Book:Chinese Urban Competitiveness Report" published by Chinese Academy of Social Sciences, the city’s competitiveness in Hefei is at15on the list of294, and becoming one of the most promising second-tier cities. Thus, how to transform the potential into strength so that raises Hefei’s competitiveness becomes the main topic in future development, while the answer of this issue is to make the impetus and mechanism of urbanization clear. In my paper, I summarized a profile of the urbanization in Hefei, analyzed the history of it in Hefei, definite the existing phase where Hefei urbanization stay in. What’s more, I put forward the dilemma and problems existing in Hefei’s urbanization, which involves six obstacles. In order to resolve these problems, I try to research for the resolutions at last. Within these solutions, I suppose that to step forward along the path of new urbanization model is significant. Therefore, compared with the traditional urbanization, the mechanism in new model is advanced completely and obviously. In my paper, I took Hefei that possesses a new mechanism as a typical example. According my paper, my conclusion is that the new mechanism is rooted in the traditional urbanization mechanism, and changes into an integrated mechanism under the mixed effects involving past, present, and future in Hefei’s development. The deeper analysis of this new mechanism represents that the core purpose of this mechanism is the civilization in essence, and in Hefei, the economic spurs of urbanization is industrial structure adjustment, paralleling its economic factors, the integrated motivation of raising Hefei’s urbanization in quality is governmental behavior. Hence, I made those abstract solution specialized at the last part in my paper in order to fasten the process of urbanization in Hefei. They are four actions: Firstly, following the citizen’s orientation, action to stimulate migrant workers into the urbanization is necessary. To optimize governmental behavior is the second approach. Thirdly, to balance urban and rural development is efficient. The fourth part is optimization of industrial structure. |
