The establishment of the market competitive, fair and reasonable compensation system which will be in line with the interests of enterprises and employees can explore advantages and potential of Human Resource, maintain and enhance the core competitiveness of enterprises and achieve the strategic objectives of the enterprise, the First Mine of K Group is the first independent development design mine from1949. In recent years, with the rapid and stable development of the coal mine, the problems of enterprises in the compensation system have become increasingly prominent issues that seriously hampered the optimal allocation of human resources, enhancement of employee performance and the sustained and stable development of enterprises. Therefore, it is significant to research, improve and optimize the compensation system about the First Mine of K Group.This essay starts from the background and significance of research, research methods, research content and framework, to elaborate the concept, theory and basic pattern of compensation system. It also generalizes and analyzes the corporate internal and external factors and employees’ individual factors that impact compensation design. Moreover, it is based on the modern compensation theory and corporate strategy to research and analyze the present situation oi the First Mine of K Group, and to identify the outstanding problems and reasons about the existing compensation system. Furthermore, on the premise of setting goals and principles of compensation design, according to the process (formulation of the compensation strategy, job analysis, job evaluation, compensation survey, compensation structure and the level) and the actual situation of the First Mine of A Group, combined with the different characteristics of management positions, professional and technical positions, as well as the production and service positions, the compensation system can be obtained improvement and optimization; the six compensation units including fixed wages (post salary and seniority wage), performance-based pay, security wages, allowances and subsidies, incentives, and welfare should be designed; a performance-oriented and post-based compensation plan is established. Finally, in order to guarantee the implementation and operation of the compensation system, this essay proposes the supporting measures about three aspects (the establishment of a standardized performance appraisal system, building mechanism of control and adjustment of the total compensation, and building a harmonious culture of coal mine enterprises).Scientific compensation system is essential to obtain a competitive advantage to the enterprise. It is significant to research and explore these issues to the stable development of the First Mine of K. Group. In the meanwhile it can provide some ideas for the similar enterprises that encounter the corresponding problems.
