After China entered the World Trade Organization, China’s logistics industry is developingrapidly.but at the same time,many international large-scale third-party logistics(3PL)massively wellup into China,which create the huge pressure to the domestic3PL enterprises. In the intensecompetition our third-party logistics must struggle to survive and develop. And we evaluate theenterprise’s core competitive ability,so that we can find our enterprise’s strength and weakness in thecompetition, and then cultivate and promote the competitive ability of these enterprises. Logisticinformationization is the key of the modern logistic, and it is the soul of modern logistic.As thedevelopment of the informationization, the Internet of Things adopted by3PL enterprises willinevitably have a profound impact on its competitive advantage and the business managementmethodology.Firstly,this paper draw on the theories of scholars on the Third-party logistics,the Internet ofThings and Enterprise competence.Secondly,considering the development status of the Third-partylogistics in domestic, this paper brings how the Third-party logistics technology based on theInternet of Things is applied. Furthermore, an in-depth analysis on the processes of3PL that haveimplemented the Internet of Things.Finally, on the basis of the establishment of3PLcompetitiveness evaluation system and the comparison of3PL competitiveness level between theInternet of Things and without the Internet of Things,this paper verifies the role of the Internet ofThings to3PL competitmeness.This article not only provide evaluation system of3PL competitiveness for business based onBSC, but also provide enterprises with ideas and methods to maintain competitmeness from theInternet of Things perspective. This paper hope to have a certain reference value for relatedbusinesses.
