The Chinese economic reform had brought significant changes in the economic structure of China,since1978, great achievements have been made in economic development After the reform,industrial sector had become one of the most important economic sectors in China. the economic inChina has been fastly promoted by the reform and the Gross Domestic Product has increased bymore than twenty times, with the increase rate at an average of9.91%per year. Apparently, theindustrial sectors are more flourished in the coastal regions of China rather than their inlandcounterparts so far and in respect to the economic development, there are several factors ofconsiderations which may affects the development pace and decisions in the growth of the regionalindustry in China.Accordingly, it was revealed that the industrial development in Chinese east coastal regions hadbeen strongly correlated with the economic policies initiated by the Chinese government. Thegovernmental decision to establish several special economic zones in the coastal regions had aprofound effects on the development of industries in the region itself. But comparing with the eastcoastal regions, the rest parts of China is far behind. Now the economic imbalance among thedifferent regional has been highlight and it is the big issure for the goverment should be faced up.Under deeply consideration of the current situation, there are some strategic plans have beenproposed to help the less development region growing, develop the west strategy, rise of centralchina strategy and revitalization of north-east strategy.This research specifically investigates the imbalance of regional economic in China. In the first partwill be the background introduction of this research; the second part is the theory of the regionaleconomic, which includes industrial location theory and regional economic growth theory; the thirdpart is comments of the status of China economic and regional economic. In doing so, the followingpart,the researcher also investigate several issues for the reasons caused the difference andimbalance. Beyond the reasons, the research will definitely find the solutions to narrow theimbalance among the different regions down and propose some suggestions in the last part.
