Interest rate marketization brings two effects of positive and negative aspects of China’scommercial banks. In the face of the opportunities, we must seize the opportunities, quicklyimprove their " quality ".Facing the challenge, we have to grasp the nettle, strive for the initiative inthe competition in the future.Attending WTO makes the domestic financial market connect with foreign market gradually.China’s financial market has become the important part of the world financial market, whichrequires higher requirements for the marketization of interest rate. Compared with the developedcountries, our country has long distance from developed country. In order to come up with worldmarket quickly, we must accelerate the speed of improvement of market system. After the fiveyears protection period, many foreign banks will crowd into our markets, which require our bank toface challenge bravely.Firstly, this paper studies the concept and the importance of interest rate liberalization.Secondly, it give a briefly introduction of practice on developing and developed countries. On thebasis of developed country, we could get experience of it. Thirdly, it recalls the way of China’sinterest rate liberalization, and argues the both sides of it.Finally, on the basis of both sides ofinterest rate liberalization, giving some suggestions for china’s interest rate liberalization. Generallyspeaking, this paper has great impact on our practice.
