| As the constant change of information technology of and the rapid development of economic globalization, market competition becomes fierce increasingly and the consumer demand becomes more variety. So the new product development becomes the key of an enterprise in market competition. As a high-risk, high-technology content activity, the new product development depends on the manufacturing enterprise’s own resources is not enough. As one of the most important enternal resources, the suppliers’function is paid more and more attention. Some reseraches has been pointed out that the suppliers communicate with the manufacturer through knowledge sharing and communication, intergrating the knowledge such as:craft, technology, market information that the suppliers owning into the new product development, can reduce the uncertainty and research risk effectively, increase the service efficiency of funds when acquire knowledge in new product development. The manufacturers through knowledge sharing with the suppliers could increase the knowledge accumulation, expand knowledge, inspire new ideas and form a new idea or design among new product development team members, apply these new ideas or designs into new product development and improve the performance.First, this paper studies and analyses relevant literatures, summarizes the theories of the new product development, the knowledge sharing between manufacturer and supplier, and new product development performance. Defines the key variables that this research needs, then builds a research model that knowledge sharing and new product development performance of manufacturers and suppliers in different stages. Puts forward the corresponding research hypothesis; Secondly, this study designs the questionnaire aims at the main variables, using SPSS19.0to deal with and analyze the collected data. In the process, the statistical methods that used include descriptive statistics, reliability, validity analysis and multiple regression analysis method. Verifying the12hypotheses that proposed in the research. Thirdly, making a conclusion of this paper, namely constructing a conceptual model that the knowledge sharing influencing new product development performance in different new product development stages of manufacturers and suppliers. Analyzing the impact of knowledge sharing in each stage. Last, points out the deficiency of this study and the prospect of future research. |
