With the continuous development of world economy, the competition of global market reaches to a unprecedented degree. Human resources become the strategic and crucial resources to enhance core competence of enterprises. Salary is a link which connects the interests of employees and enterprises. It can not only provide living security for employees, but also can enhance the employees’ cohesiveness and work motivation, improve their performance and create more benefits for enterprises. Under the background of information era and economic globalization, new things emerge endlessly. The need of employees demonstrates diversity trends. The old salary management model and idea can’t meet the requirement of development. So how to use scientific diagnostic method and systematic design thinking to design a salary system which is more suitable for the development of enterprises became one of the required courses for enterprises’management staff.PA company is a solar energy water heater manufacturer which entered this industry early. The company has achieved a remarkable achievement in sale and market share since2003. But with the progress of performance and the change of competition, the defects of old salary system gradually appear and become the shackles of development. Thus, how to build up a scientific and systematic salary system to meet the development need of enterprises and industry is an urgent problem for PA company at present stage.This paper started from the introduction and summarized the background,research significance and research methods.Then this paper generalized related theories of salary system design on the base of researches at home and abroad. Based on the current situation of salary management in PA company,the author deeply analyzed the defects of current salary system by using questionnaire. Some existing problems were summarized such as the design of post salary is not reasonable, performance appraisal system was unsound and the design of marketing personnel’s salary was irrational. Thus, the author made clear the main direction of salary system design. By combining the company strategic with market competition situation, the author brought forward the thought of optimization design and carried out specific and scientific job analysis and job evaluation and designed salary curve by integrating salary survey data with data analyses. Thus, the level of post salary was successfully set. Then the author designed targeted salary scheme based on the characteristic of different employee and improved the welfare system. At last the author designed performance appraisal system based on balanced score card,introduced the method of PDCA circle and designed supporting measures to achieve the goal of improving PA company human resource management and support the strategic of company. At the same time, the author hope to provide an effective design thought for solar energy enterprises and large manufacturing enterprises.
