In this paper, the author not only presents the idea of the the YQ Group engine productquality management flow, but also introduces division of labor cooperation mode based onthe quality management of YQ Group。The YQ Group accomplishes engine quality management by collaborative managementof several units including Quality Committee of the YQ Group, YQ Group’s QualityAssurance Department and production plants。In the entire project, quality has a veto power。In the detail, the YQ Group Quality Committee takes responsible for qualitydecision-making in the key stages of the project, the YQ Group Quality AssuranceDepartment advancing quality management as well as quality risk identification, andproduction corporations managing project quality。YQ Group divides the engine productquality management into five stages,which is product planning stage, product developmentstage, production preparation stage, pilot production stage and the mass production stage。Meanwhile the YQ Group sets the flow framework in accordance with the AdvancedProduct Quality Planning (APQP) process requirements from the born of the entire engineproducts, to mutatis mutandis and finally the mass production。In the product planning stage, we take advantage of the voice of customer (VOC) aswell as Quality Function Deployment (QFD), collect the lessons of the past platform engine,identify customer needs, set new engine quality goals, and then decompose the qualityobjectives and put it to product development as well as quality control。In the productdevelopment stage, we analyze the potential failure modes and consequences of productdesign by DFMEA, meanwhile we analyze the whole process according to their severity,frequency and detectability to control failure mode with high risk, and accomplish thereliability test(including reliability test on the machine frame and vehicle) on the engineproduced in mass so as to evaluate the reliability of the engine, in the end of this stage weidentify the blueprint if the test is OK。The production preparation stage begins after Determing the mass production process。At this stage, the quality assurance team input goals to confirm the quality of production, they are listed as follows: gages and inspection equipment; Quality recognition rateincluding inspection devices, home-made parts; and other association; Validation includingthe whole assembly, and vehicle assembly; Process audit; Product audit; The2nd production;The initial process capability studies; Beat proficiency testing。These ten indexes are thedoor of the project quality, if the quality goals are not accomplished, the work is stumbled,thereby we ensure the quality maturity of the new production。The early drifting management stage comes after accomplishing the quality recognitiongoals。At this stage production corporations should organized the early-stage drifting qualitymanagement working group, which is responsible for the quality control and improvement inthe early-stage flow of engine。Meanwhile they should take on-site activities focusing on theproduction quality, including special quality check, special product audit, mass release,quality thematic commenting, special quality improvement and so on。Also the specialquality activities focusing on the market come together, such as tracking the specific userand vehicle, visiting4S shops, dealing with the complain of special clients, analyzing typicalfailure case, and improving special quality。If in the initial flow stage, the engines work welland stably with significant quality problems being eliminated, the early release of qualitymanagement standards are accomplished, the normal production and quality control stagebegins。To the engine products in the mass production stage, the process control will be in asteady state. Quality departments monitor on-site quality state through statistical processcontrol and the management of change point, solve quality issues both on-site and marketfeedback through QC team, in order to achieve the purpose of continuous improvement.This flow is a summary of the YQ Group with many years of engine products qualitymanagement practice, it will be refined and implemented in subsequent engine productsquality management。I am sure that after the Engine product quality management processesare standarded and scientized, the YQ Group will walk a new step on the engine productsquality。...
