Evaluation On The Level Of Regional Science And Technology Development

In today’s world, development of science and technology is advancing rapidly, and infiltrate all fields of social life, to promote the profound of social productivity and production modes, and affecting, changing people’s lives deeply. Regional development of science and technology is the important components of the national economic and social system, regional science and technology development in the promotion of regional economic and social role has become increasingly significant. This article based on the background of development of science and technology in China, focusing on regional science and technology development and direction to enhance regional competitiveness.This article begin with the definitions of the level of regional science and technology development, analysis of regional science and technology development on the effects of regional economic growth and social development, study the internal factors and external factors which effect the regional science and technology development. On the basis of relevant theoretical studies, this article build the indicator system of regional science and technology development level from the three aspects:science and technology inputN science and technology output and science and technology environment. This article collect our country’s representative provinces’and cities’indicator data from2006to2010, applying factor analysis method to compare and research the11provinces and cities’regional science and technology development level, ensure the primary factor variables, and based on the factor score model get the ranking. At last, this article analysis on the present situation of science and technology development in Jilin province, and compare with other10provinces and cities. Analyze problems existing in the science and technology development in Jilin province, and propose countermeasures to improve the level of science and technology in Jilin.On the research methods, this article primarily combines theoretical research with empirical research, and combine qualitative analysis and quantitative analysis. Learned the status of the regional science and technology development and evolution in recent years, use of effective indicators and data for evaluation studies, provide the scientific and available options and information for the research processes and research conclusions.Study on regional science and technology development, establish an indicator system, is to describe the process of regional science and technology development, evaluate regional science and technology development on the contribution of regional social and economic development, and provide a basis for social and economic sustainable development of the region.
