The Research On Urban Technical Efficiency Based On Compact City

Sort out the relationship between the concept of the compact city theory system and measurement indicator system on the basis of the analysis of the the compact urban theory and urban technical efficiency theory, this paper proposed a new concept of compact city:To maximize the efficiency of urban technology, urban spatial form, economic patterns, and the political form of all the factors that affect the city run, with a high density and compact shape features, concepts and tools to achieve sustainable urban development.Urban compact in regulation and configuration features of the urban economic resources, and urban technical efficiency reflects the economies effective use of the existing input factors as well as technical efficiency and the ability to use, compact indicators and urban technical efficiency has a natural link. From the perspective of the urban compactness, analysis of the compactness of the Yangtze River Delta and the Pearl River Delta region of25cities above the prefectural level cities in technical efficiency using stochastic frontier analysis (SFA), a more comprehensive analysis of the factors affecting urban technical efficiency and the mechanism of their impact. The empirical results are as follows:from1998to2010, the average space of the Yangtze River Delta region and the Pearl River Delta cities compactness economic compactness and form of government compactness were0.443,0.376and0.302, the overall average of the Yangtze River Delta and the Pearl River Delta cities efficiency of0.839, the compactness of the urban space of the Yangtze River Delta region and the Pearl River Delta region, the degree of economic compact and form of government compactness for each additional1percent increase the urban technologies the efficiency0.74,1.755and the1.916percent on the Yangtze River Delta and Pearl River Delta region space, economy and government morphological compactness of the city has not yet reached the appropriate compact increase in the compactness can improve the urban technical efficiency, promote economic growth and the improvement of the quality of economic growth.Based on the above analysis, we can control the size of government, reduce intervention in the allocation of resources, optimize the industrial structure to deepen industrial upgrading, and continue to expand the scale of the city, to improve aspects of urban density to increase urban compact, raising the city’s technical efficiency, so as to promote the city rapid and healthy development of the economy.
