Income from household operations plays an important part in farmer’s income, therefore, it has positive effect to increase the farmer’s income from household operations on shortening the income gap between the urban families and the rural families and shortening the income gap among farmer families, which is good for the agricultural sustainable development in Jiangsu Province and has a positive impact on doubling farmer’s income during the12th Five-Year-Plan period. The growth of the farmer’s income from household operations is influenced by many factors, such as policy, system, agricultural traditional factor inputs, agricultural modern factor inputs, agricultural production material price, etc. Based on the elaborating the background, the significance of the topic, the literature review, the research objectives and methods, the research contents and the technical routes, distinguishing the basic concepts, clearing the related theories, through the analysis on the phase characteristics, regressive characteristics of the contribution to farmer’s income, the main body stability characteristics and regional differences characteristics during the evolution process for the farmer’s income from household operations, the author finds the internal mechanism of the growth of the farmer’s income from household operations in Jiangsu Province.After the author summarizes that the growth of the farmer’s income from household operations is influenced by rural farmland and human resources, the level of agricultural mechanization and fertilizer input, pro-agriculture fiscal expenditure as well as agricultural production materials price, agricultural industry structure adjustment, the labor roll-out rate and other factors in Jiangsu Province, based on the composition of the farmer’s income from household operations, the status of all income, as well as the impact factor data accessibility and independence, the author builds a decided equation of the farmer’s income from household operations, adopting multiple linear regression approach, empirical analyzes of the arable land per labor, agricultural production price index and other variables on the growth of the farmer’s income from household operations. The empirical results show that fertilizer inputs, the level of agricultural mechanization, and the arable land per labor has significant positive effect on the growth of the farmer’s income from household operations; agricultural production material price, labor roll-out rate and agricultural industrial structure adjustment has significant negative effect on the growth of the farmer’s income from household operations. This suggests that reducing the agricultural production material price, increasing fertilizer inputs, improving the level of agricultural mechanization, fulfilling land scale management, strengthening education and training to farmers, putting emphasis on the development of farming is an effective way to increase the farmer’s income from household operations in Jiangsu Province.
