The purpose of this research is achieving economical, social, ecologicalefficiency, this research analysed the level of saving and intensive land use modes ofexpressway in Anhui province by building the saving and intensive evaluation indexsystem of expressway land use,in order to provide reference for coordinating thedevelopment between expressway and land use.The major methods are that combinationof qualitative and quantitative, combination of theory and practice, combination ofdynamic and static, literature search, field surveys and analytical hierarchy process. The results of this paper are that firstly, through affecting the development ofregional land resources, land use structure and layout, land price along theexpressway, expressway construction drived the changes of land use types and form;bycontrary, form, structure and intensity of land use affected the form, structure and layout ofthe expressway;secondly, according to the standards of expressway construction, summedup three land use modes of expressway in Anhui province:plain area-wide andeconomical mode,micro-hills area-the persistent mode, mountainous area-ecologicalmode.In plain areas, reduces the areas by lowing the width and height ofembankment, constructing bridges and other engineering measures;micro-hills areareduces the areas by using hillock and slope farmland uneasy to farming as a soil field, atthe same time, increases land by reclamation;mountainous area reduces the areas byimproving ratio of bridge and tunnel, and appling the natural slope technology focusingon ecological and environmental protection;the third, established the saving and intensiveevaluation index system of expressway land use in Anhui province from three aspectswhich are the degree of land use, land use efficiency, performance management,itincludes15indicators that are the area rate of expressway land use,the density of theexpressway area, the density of expressway network,GDP and expressway land growthelasticity coefficient, increasing employment opportunities per unit area, expresswayinvestment per unit area, expressway output per unit area, passenger volume ofexpressway network per unit area, cargo volume of expressway network per unitarea, balance degree of expressway network, expressway network connectivity, erosionrate of expressway soil, treatment rate of idle land, treatment rate of temporaryland, utilization rate of paid land;at last,Anhui expressway construction project occuredmany problems that were it occupied much cultivating land, the fund was difficult, effectiveness of land use was uneven, reclamation of temporary land wasextensive and difficult, ecological and environmental had huge impaction. The study concludes that firstly, there are closed interaction between expresswayconstruction and land use, they must be coordinated under the guidance of scientificconcept of development to achieve the saving and intensive land use object ofexpressway;secondly, land scale of expressway in Anhui province growedrapidly, expressway has brought significant economical, social and ecological benefits;thethird, the saving and intensive level of expressway land use was moderate, that mainlybecause of the area rate of expressway land use,the density of the expressway area, thedensity of expressway network, increasing employment opportunities per unit area, balance degree of expressway network were lower;at last, according to those problems, put forward six measures which were innovating economical and intensive landmechanism, establishing the saving and intensive norms of expressway landuse, promoting concept and technology of saving and intensive land use, improving thesaving and intensive evaluation system of expressway land use, exploring new ways offinancing and promoting the application of information technology.
