The background of the paper is that, under the global production network, international division of labor become more specific, and the pattern of division of labor is also undergoing profound adjustments and changes. In this process, as the main part of the division of labor, the multinational corporation will be configured according to different comparative advantages of various countries and regions in different products or different segments of the value chain of the same product. At the same product value chain, capital and technology-intensive sectors will be at the top of the value chain, because they have a high added value. It is an effective way to increase the technological content and added value, to upgrade the value chain, to improve the trade competitiveness by improve asset-specific investments.Look at the theoretical transmission mechanism from asset specificity investments on the improvement of trade competitiveness, asset-specific investments can enhance the value of the network members the ability in creation and its position in the value chain. And the ratio of the asset-specific investments in production, R&D, marketing aspects play a significant role in trade competitiveness. Through DEA tentative evaluation of the asset-specific investments, in high-tech high value-added products it has a distinct role. But the analysis of the paper about the specific asset investment found that not only our country in the low end of the value chain and international division of labor, but also our country in mass production stage. Although some industry develop rapidly resent year, the whole technical content and added value of product is still relatively low. Further empirical examination and analysis of panel data of China’s37industries and concluded that, the improvement of asset-specific investments of all sectors of its trade competitiveness is less obvious, investment efficiency is not high. And the developed country is a good instance for us to reference in the specific asset investment in high value-added and high-tech industry.According to relevant analysis results and combined with China’s actual conditions, the various sectors through effective specific asset investments to improve the position of the Chinese enterprises in global value chains; at the same time, establish a sound specific asset investment system and high-tech industry alliances, and various enterprises in the use of long-term collaborative competition dynamic learning effect, which can effectively improve China’s trade competitiveness.
