An Empirical Study On The Entrepreneurial Motivation Of New Generation Migrant Workers

With the rapid development of China’s industrialization process, farmers as a large social groups are working in the city. The issue of migrant workers is the integrated product of China’s urban-rural dual social structure, economic, political, social institutions, and many other factors. In recent years, the new generation of migrant workers groups have been gradually concerned by the community. The trend of new generation migrant workers are increasing year by year, the number of the new generation migrant workers now account for more than half of the total migrant workers, they have developed into the main body of migrant workers, the characteristics of the new generation migrant workers gradually become the important characteristics of the migrant workers.In the process of integration into the city new generation migrant workers encounter the difficult of job, low income, and thus bring about a series of about transportation, housing, social security and other issues. It is an ideal way to solve the employment problem of new generation migrant workers by creating good conditions for the new generation migrant workers, and encouraging new generation migrant workers those have entrepreneurial motivation and conditions to start their own businesses and create more jobs. This article explore and confirm the structural dimensions of the entrepreneurial motivation of generation of migrant workers in the view of the new generation migrant workers entrepreneurial motivation, by depth interview, questionnaire survey, factor analysis to enrich and improve the entrepreneurial theory perspective.This paper in strict accordance with the questionnaire design standard procedure, drawing on previous research and Scale, we do some small-scale interviews, expert interviews and determine the appropriate variables, draw up the initial questionnaire. Next, through the pre-testing of the small sample, we take the overall correlation coefficient (CITC) and alpha reliability coefficient method, delete the terms of the low reliability measurement, form the final questionnaire form for large sample survey. Finally, we issue questionnaires by the way of a middleman in a wide range of China’s27provinces,800questionnaires were distributed,548valid questionnaires were used for data analysis.The next we do analysis of data by the methods of EFA and CFA. Firstly we test the reliability and validity of the sample data by Cronbach a coefficient, KMO coefficient and Bartlett’s test of sphericity law before conducting the factor analysis, the test results show that the questionnaire has a certain content validity and construct validity. Next, we use the software SPSS17.0to do explorative factor analysis for the sample data, the result come to the entrepreneurial motivation motivational of new generation migrant workers:the economy dimension consists of two first-order factor; social motivation dimension consists of three first-order factor; achievements motivational dimension consists of two first-order factor. We adopt the software AMOS17.0to test the analysis results by confirmatory factor method to confirm the validity of individual items (except QS9, QA5), the other explorative factor analysis is valid.The main conclusions of this study:First, the new generation migrant workers have a strong, clear of entrepreneurial motivation. Traditional ideas that peasant family economy is narrow-mindedness and conservative, but the research suggests that new generation migrant workers is not lack of enterprising entrepreneurial consciousness, instead they yearn for entrepreneurship, realize their own values, reflect the strong, clear of entrepreneurial motivation and entrepreneurial desire. Second, the entrepreneurial motivation of new generation migrant workers is complexity. New generation of migrant workers rarely have a single entrepreneurial motivation, but economic motivation, social motivation and achievement motivation are intertwined with complex characteristics. The entrepreneurial motivation of new generation migrant workers contains three dimensions:economic motivation, social motivation and achievement motivation. We prove that these three dimensions are second-order variable by factor analysis. The economy motivational dimension consists of two first-order variables:to meet the needs of survival and to achieve poverty alleviation; social motivation dimension contains three first-order variable: dissatisfied with the original work by the group influence and to meet the needs of society; achievement motivation dimension contains two first-order variables:to realize their dreams and to control the self-life. Third, the new generation migrant workers’entrepreneurial motivation has the difference and dynamic. Due to the new generation migrant workers’conditions and the influence of the environment, and external factors such as the gap by education level, work experience, family economic condition, the parents venture, lead to the difference of entrepreneurial motivation. The new generation migrant workers of entrepreneurial motivation will with personal wealth accumulation, social status and life experience of the change and change.The article provides a reference for the development of entrepreneurship policy and accurate analysis and guiding entrepreneurial behavior of the new generation migrant workers. The following is the innovations of this article:(1) compared to the older generation migrant workers, the new generation migrant workers show significant differences, this is a certain innovation to select the new generation migrant work as the research object;(2) The focus of this article is entrepreneurial motivation of the new generation migrant workers, the content of this research has some new ideas;(3) In this paper, we adopt explorative factor analysis(EFA) and confirmation factor analysis(CFA) as the empirical research methods, Those methods have some innovations.
