As a typical service industry, the domestic banking sector is facing fiercer competition with multinational banks after China’s accession to the WTO. Talent is prominent to decide whether a bank could realize the consistent management. Since the competition between talents in banking industry is increasingly fierce, job satisfaction of those bank employee are more and more important to the commercial bank managers, whether they work in the main business or engage in supportive work. Find problems through satisfaction research and get improved from which as well fully mobilize the enthusiasm of the bank staff to fulfill their potential has become an important task in the human resource management of commercial banks.According to the status of the representative of staffs engaging in supportive work in Bank of Shanghai-information staff, the writer designed a satisfaction questionnaire and conducted a sample survey of their level of satisfaction. The questionnaire mainly related to satisfaction of the employee treatment, promotion, direct supervisor, incentives, operational processes, colleagues, work, communication, and the overall situation as well2assessment respectively on job performance and organizational commitment. According to these valid questionnaires, the writer collected, analyzed and categorized the data of job satisfaction of information staffs. Combining with the correlation of job satisfaction, organization commitment and work performance, the effect and overall evaluation about job satisfaction of information staff was achieved.By combining with real condition in Bank of Shanghai and using related theories, the research analyzed the reason about the weak aspects of management generated from information staffs’satisfaction survey and achieved some solutions which were easier for managers to operate on and to raise job satisfaction of information staff. The research is valuable to raise the competence of Bank of Shanghai in the increasingly fierce market.
